Resources for Children

A child is the greatest gift we are given and with that precious child comes challenges as they grow. Different cycles of life provide obstacles that we may not be equipped to effectively handle. We may find we need help to facilitate appropriate discussions and learn additional parenting skills, as children start to explore their self-identity and develop into teenagers. Through participating in active counseling, families can become closer, and actions that once seemed to be a challenge to become learning experiences. Below are great parenting tips for common situations that may be encountered with children:

Resources for Handling Anger

“Anger is a basic human emotion that is experienced by all people. Typically triggered by emotional hurt, anger is usually experienced as an unpleasant feeling that occurs when we think we have been injured, mistreated, opposed in our long-held views, or when we are faced with obstacles that keep us from attaining personal goals.”  – Information provided by Mentalhelp.net

Our therapists work with clients to help identify sources, gain control and learn to let go of anger. If you have been holding on to anger toward a family member, co-worker, supervisor or a lifelong grudge it may be time to let go.

  • Admit your anger
  • Handle anger with care
